- Review ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents submitted in the proposal stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates.
- Review contract requirements for project execution, organize the preparation of Master Document Register (MDR), identify requirements and scope of work; review specifications and data sheets, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate with projects and planning on project time schedules, establish target completion dates, ensure target dates are achieved.
- Develop Manpower charts and schedule, and distribute manpower for the execution of engineering activities within budgeted project man-hours. Recommend cost effective measures to reduce overall manpower costs.
- Organize, review and preparation of equipment and material specifications/data sheets, administer the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Load list, Cable Drum Schedules, Equipment Layouts, Cable Routing and Layout drawings, Lighting system layouts & details, Earthing / Lightning Protection system layout & details, Heat tracing layout & details, Installation standard drawings, ETP Power system studies and all other required documents.
- Organize, review and the preparation of technical inquiry request, technical bid evaluation (TBE) of offers. Review vendor drawings and documents. Review of design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with the client technical requirements.
- Interact with Quality assurance team for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with company's quality procedures. Coordinate internal audit requests.
- Coordination and independent contact with Clients, vendor's representatives and project field personnel. Attend and participate in Client and Enerflex meetings
- Direct and / or participate in job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, with a minimum five years in similar position in an Oil and Gas Project consultancy or EPC company. Must have experience in working in a Multi-cultural office on more than one project at a time.
- Thorough knowledge in Electrical design for large scale industrial / oil and gas projects.
- Good working knowledgeable of international standards, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC), IEEE and API Standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on multiple projects while maintaining schedule, budget and quality.
- Experience in working in multi-cultural, multiple discipline office on projects with Oil & gas and/or Petrochemical Clients.
- Thorough knowledge on Hazardous area classification and selection of equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of Electrical analysis software like ETAP.
- Good working Knowledge with Third Party Engineering companies.
