- Be able to lead and supervise Process Engineering Teams in Feasibility, Conceptual Studies, Pre - FEED, FEED and EPC Projects
- Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate
- Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design
- Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued
- Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design
- Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart etc.
- Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc.
- Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design
- Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
- Review and approve safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required
- Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity
- Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project
- Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed
- Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers
- Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers, Engineering Manager / Discipline heads
- As Lead Discipline Engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers, designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project
- Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team
- Assist project team in the preparation of planning package, scheduling, weekly reporting etc.
- Assist as required in the preparation of pre - commissioning, commission procedures and operating Manuals
- Provided assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for proposals
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers.
- Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired.
- Proficient in Process Simulation software's such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA etc. and should be a subject matter expert.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
