QC Procurement Engineer

- Review Material Take-off List provided by the Designer.
- Coordinates with Procurement Department to identify the Long Lead Items & Short Lead Items.
- Identifies the approved vendor's list (RVL) issued by the Employer, if exists.
- Reviews material / purchase requisitions (PR) as per Employer requirements and especially the requested specifications.
- Reviews purchase orders (PO) and especially the requested specifications.
- Monitors and reviews the proposed technical documents from Vendor / Manufacturer / Supplier / Stockiest and confirms the proposed documents are as per the applicable Employer's Standards and Inspection and Testing requirements.
- Coordinates with involved TPI Agencies, Manufacturers and Employer's Inspection agencies.
- Ensures the receiving of approval by Employer / PMC for TPI Agencies to be involved and follow up the required inspection notifications.
- Allocates Inspection Levels for each material in accordance with Employer's Standards and if not exist, according to Project requirements.
- Coordinates with the Vendor / Manufacturer to get the Inspection & Test Plan for review and approval prior the manufacturing / fabrication process.
- Monitors the manufacturing / fabrication progress.
- Prepares Inspection Assignment Package “IAP”.
- Issuing the Inspection Notification after coordinating with the Manufacturer.
- Reviews the inspection & test plans (ITPs) provided by the Manufacturers and Vendors.
- Schedules and conduct Pre-Inspection Meeting “PIM” and every inspection activity.
- Reviews Inspection Report and related Documents.
- Submits the received inspection reports to Employer / PMC for review or approval.
- Follows up until the Inspection Release, prepares the Final Disposition Report if required and close the Inspection Lot (IL).
- Prepares Quality procurement weekly/monthly reports.
- Brings matters concerning non-conforming materials and services to the attention of the QC Manager.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
- 15 years of related experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage) in EPC projects.
- ISO 9001 Internal auditor
- ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT and PT (if Mechanical Engineer)
- CSWIP 3.2 certification (if Mechanical Engineer)
- Good command in Project Quality auditing
- EPC/O&G Projects experience.
- Good communication skills
- Is able to work both independently, exercising professional judgment and coordination skills
- Has excellent organizational skills
