Their members are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes and the public transport supply and service industry.Job Description:The Head of MENA Regional Office and Centre for Transport Excellence (CTE) operates under the supervision of the Senior Director of Global Growth at Guildhall. Responsible for defining and executing activities for the MENA region on behalf of our esteemed client, the candidate will lead efforts to bolster membership, enhance knowledge dissemination, and fortify financial foundations. Acting as the liaison, they will engage with stakeholders, organizations, and governmental bodies in the region, serving as the primary contact for international institutions. Ensuring compliance with local regulations and organizational standards, they will manage the MENA office and CTE efficiently, including financial stewardship aligned with directives from Guildhall.Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a business plan for the MENA region in line with Guildhall's overall strategy.
- Collaborate with other departments and the MENA Executive Committee to execute annual work plans.
- Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for membership and business development.
- Oversee the management of working bodies, projects, and events in the MENA region.
- Supervise and coordinate all activities within the MENA Regional Office and CTE.
- Provide oversight for Guildhall's Liaison Office in Casablanca.
- Coordinate arrangements for the UITP MENA Congress in 2024.
- Represent Guildhall in the region and manage relationships with relevant institutions.
- Coordinate with partners, such as RTA Dubai, for collaborative initiatives.
- Advocate for public transport aligned with Guildhall's global strategy.
- Engage and negotiate with potential members and contacts in the region.
- Manage day-to-day administrative and financial operations, including human resources.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and report to Guildhall's headquarters.
- Foster a supportive work environment aligned with Guildhall's values and principles.
- Establish efficient processes that promote inclusivity and professional growth.
- Cultivate conditions for employee fulfillment and creativity.
- Set and evaluate departmental and individual goals in alignment with organizational objectives.Qualifications & Requirements:- In-depth knowledge of the public transport sector and its stakeholders, GGC knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in associations and public transport organizations is preferred.
- Master's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
