Job DescriptionJOB PURPOSETo build, maintain and enhance solutions and designs in line with enterprise architecture and platform guardrails to ensure the successful customer journey across current and new value streams, working within and across squads.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:1. Line Manager - To receive direction and support, discuss performance and ensure objectives are met. To agree priorities and value markers
2. Direct Reports - To provide direction and support, manage performance and development
3. Agile Software Development - Team Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories)
4. Internal Stakeholders - Collaborate and brainstorm to achieve competitive, high value product roadmapsACCOUNTABILITIESTechnology Design and ArchitectureIdeate, design and build out solution architectures to enable product delivery, working with diverse stakeholder groups (internal and external) to ensure alignment to ADCB goals and objectives. Translate product vision into robust solution designs and architecture diagrams, aligned to enterprise architecture standards and guardrails in order to enable safe and fast delivery of digital and technology experiences. Assess technologies and undertake research and vendor assessments in order to drive modern and effective engineering practices within squads. Drive reuse of enterprise Application Programming Interface (APIs), data products, microservices and tech patterns in order to reduce dependencies and technical debt. Contribute to Platform, Tribe and Chapter deliverables and governance as required, to ensure architecture translates to delivered technology builds.Agile Ways of WorkingManage and coach tech leads and engineers across architecture principles, patterns and designs in order to mitigate risks and drive rapid maturity of a modern and scalable ADCB tech stack. Develop and maintain solution architecture documentation in order to support Platform level governance which is in line with overall Technology governance. Liaise with business analysts, engineers, delivery leads, and architects in order to deliver optimal solution design and architecture outcomes in a scaled agile model.Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with prospective users and stakeholders in order to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements. Identify and assist the stakeholder to understand the business model, value and value proposition in order to fully understand the deliverable being implemented. Act as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate information flow.People ManagementManage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance. Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved, and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.Policies, Processes, Systems and ProceduresImplement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders.Continuous ImprovementManage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the Bank’s standards.Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.SkillsEXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESMinimum ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in Technology functions or Digital organisationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fieldProfessional QualificationsAmazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure Solution Architect (Certification)Knowledge and SkillsBusiness Analysis or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) knowledge
