Senior Process Safety Engineer

• Prepares routine working sketches and layouts.
• Works with and assists higher-level engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
• Delivers drafting services meeting Company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Drafts moderate to complex drawings using 2D or 3D CADD, involving planning and layouts for major installations.
• Produces elementary layouts for facilities, equipment, locations, etc., from reference drawings and makes related routine calculations.
• Conducts field visits and prepares as-built drawings and field sketches, assisting in more complicated elements as part of a project group.
• Extracts drawings from a 3D model.
• Creates 3D models with assistance on design by more experienced Designers and Modellers.
• Drafts intelligent P&ID’s.

• Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches.
• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from initial ideas, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data.
• Operate computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
• Develop and prepare design sketches.
• Complete documentation packages and project drawing sets.
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
• Review and verify CAD digital files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established drafting standards.
• Utilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design software to:

• Develop and revise CAD drawings of new and existing plants.
• Create 3D models and evaluate the fitment of equipment through the modeling process.
• Draft 2D dimensional mechanical and assembly drawings from 3D models based on Engineering design and criteria.
• Confer with engineering and technical personnel, providing information to supervisors.
• Acquire accurate data for models, drawings, and bill of materials and process engineering change requests.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to switch between multiple job assignments with ease, working as a team member with all departments.
• P&ID’s Drafting.
• ASME vessel drawings (2D & 3D), utilizing CADWorxs®.
• Process packages skid layouts (3D), utilizing CADWorxs®.
• Review of sub-vendor drawings & documents.
• Maintain up-to-date flat files and the library of drafting/drawing standards.
• Organize all electronic drawings during the project.
• Preparation/design of extinguishing systems.
• Determination of emergency exits and escape routes.
• Procedural design of F&G system.
• Procedural design of electrical hazardous classification documents.
• Particular Experience in:

• Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Assessment using Phast software.
• Facilitating hazard workshops for Process Safety hazards (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOP’s, and Facility Layout and Sitting).
• Developing ALARP demonstrations for Process Safety risks and developing HSE Cases.
• Knowledgeable of Sour Gas design and operations standards and guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of Total and Shell Standards and Guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
