Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under it's umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere and Public.We currently have a number of exciting Sous Chef positions across the UAE supporting existing teams as well as building new teams as part of pre-opening. Supporting the Head Chef in running the BOH effectively, our Sous Chefs play a vital role in ensuring the food we produce for our guests is of the highest standards. Some key responsibilities:
Ensure the kitchen is managed efficiently and professionally, and that the teams are fully prepared and ready for each service
Provide support and training to all members of the BOH team with a strong emphasis in supporting career development
Effectively manage stock, storage, equipment as per SOPs - working with relevant stakeholders to overcome any issues
To be considered for this role, you will come from a high-cover environment with experience working with either Arabic, French or Italian cuisine. Given the diversity of our teams, strong communication skills are essential.
