Job DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GEMS Founders School- Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with special needs children, providing one-on-one support or group to enhance their learning experience and overall development.Responsibilities: * Individualized Support:- Provide direct one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in various learning environments.- Implement individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator or relevant professionals.2. Academic Assistance:- Assist students in understanding and completing academic tasks, adapting materials to suit their learning styles and abilities.- Collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning objectives and modify teaching strategies as needed. * Emotional and Behavioral Support:- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN, promoting emotional well-being and positive behavior.- Implement strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere. * Communication and Collaboration:- Maintain open communication with teaching staff, Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in the student's support network.- Maintain daily communication with parents effectively. * Progress Monitoring:- Keep detailed records of student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.- Collaborate with the Inclusion teachers to assess and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.SkillsSkills and Abilities:- Empathy and patience in working with children with diverse needs.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.- Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
