A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the roleAs an RD&A Technologist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Flavourists by compounding flavour samples according to predefined procedures and specifications, ensuring they meet taste and color requirements for various applications such as sauces, snacks, and meat marination. Your responsibilities will include preparing and shipping samples, maintaining stock levels of raw materials, and ensuring laboratory equipment is in optimal condition.Work Location : DubaiReporting to : Taste System Innovation - Savory - LeadKey responsibilities
- Helping Flavourists to compound flavour samples in line with predefined procedures and specification requirements (taste, colour) and application work in a different EUM application including sauces, snacks, and meat marination.
- Support preparation and shipment of samples to fulfill sample request.
- Maintain adequate stock of raw materials and ingredients. Follows established procedures in relation to laboratory maintenance and stock control.
- Maintain laboratory, including upkeep of equipment, stocking of lab supplies and general cleaning of work areas. Maintains test equipment and components to eliminate measurement error thereby reducing product failure.
- Record and communicate test results to RD&A Scientist
- Provide technical support and contribute to other RD@A activities as needed
- Certificate / Diploma in relevant science subject
- Minimum 1-2 years' working experience as a technologist in a flavour house or food processing company for meat, sauces, or snacks.
- Operates in a testing laboratory / food science / flavour laboratory environment. Primarily laboratory and pilot scale environment
- HACCP, manual handling, safety, chemical handling
- Be able to handle non-Halal ingredients.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Meticulous and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with good teamworking skills
