- Expertise in pipeline design principles, industry standards, and best practices to develop pipeline routing, alignment sheets, crossing drawings, station approach drawings and construction drawings.
- Prepare detailed design drawings and as-built drawings.
- Reviewing drawings prepared by pipeline designers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Review inter-discipline deliverables such as 3D models, plot plans, piping GA drawings, cable layouts, foundation layout etc.
- Proficient in working on AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office software's.
- Prepare and maintain the Discipline Master design drawing and document files, including final archiving for future reference and auditing purposes.
- Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for Discipline designs and drawings and to prepare clash-free designs.
- Review drawings issued by other disciplines and incorporate the required data into Discipline drawings.
- Review vendor drawings and documents and incorporate required vendor data into Discipline drawings and documents.
- Provide necessary design inputs to other disciplines to enable them to proceed with their deliverables.
- Review Customer standards and procedures to prepare project-specific design procedures and standards for submission to the Customer for approval.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior designers and drafters, guiding them in pipeline design techniques and methodologies.
- Support Pipeline Engineer in evaluating various pipeline route options considering factors such as terrain, environmental impact, cost, and safety, and make recommendations for optimal route selection.
- Involve in authority approval activities and interact with NOC approval coordination activities for pipeline routings.
- Fully understand the Contract Scope of Work, specifications, and schedule, as well as all inter-discipline requirements.
- Identify required inputs early and take appropriate initiatives to obtain them.
- Assist Discipline Lead Engineer in preparing estimates for proposals and job scope changes, including execution statements, work schedules, and manhour requirements.
- Participate in project kickoff and review meetings, vendor/supplier meetings, engineering and design meetings, and onshore site surveys as required.
- Minimum 15 years overall experience in onshore pipeline designing with 10 years min with major consultant.
- Previous experience in feasibility studies, conceptual design pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design projects.
- Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Design or Drafting in a related discipline.
- Fair communication skills (speaking and writing) in English are MUST.
- Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Auto lisp Programming, Civil 3D and Google Earth are MUST.
- Shall be experienced in working on Microsoft Office tools.
- Overview knowledge in GIS tools like ArcGIS, Qgis, Global Mapper etc.
