Senior Medical Equipment Planner

- Managing the deliverables for the medical equipment planning team within the greater project deliverable schedule
- Advise the medical planners in the medical planning process within the design team to create department floor plan concepts reflective of operations
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client on medical equipment planning issues
- Understand and guide discussions on medical equipment needs
- Work with end users to lay out the medical equipment within clinical rooms, with an understanding of processes and workflows
- Ability to develop an item-by-item and room-by-room medical equipment BOQ
- Assist the coordination of all disciplines related to the medical equipment requirements & planning.
- Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings
- Prepare equipment planning presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives as well as drawings and specification documents
- Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects and pursuits
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in medical equipment planning required, for greenfield projects, additions and/or remodels of healthcare facilities, as part of a bio-medical team and/or as a consultant.
- Clear understanding of medical equipment and how it is used and maintained
- Understanding of healthcare trends
- Understanding of design techniques, tools and principles involved in documentation of medical equipment in a healthcare project
- Strong presentation, communication, organizational, collaboration and communication skills
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills
- Team player, adaptable with a positive attitude
- Strong computer skills (REVIT, MS Office Suite, Blue Beam)
- Must be willing to travel to locations across the Middle East
