Develop and manage detailed project schedules for oil & gas substation projects using Primavera P6, including creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), key milestones, and timelines aligned with project deliverables.
Monitor the progress of substation construction and commissioning activities, providing regular status updates to project management. Highlight deviations or potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely execution of substation works within the defined budget.
Identify schedule risks specific to substation projects (e.g., equipment delivery delays, utility coordination, permit issues) and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate and communicate with EPC contractors, client representatives, engineering teams, and construction personnel to manage changes in project timelines or scope.
Evaluate and analyze the impact of scope changes, resource fluctuations, or external factors on the overall project schedule, and update plans accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience working on EPC substation projects within the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia.
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
Familiarity with Saudi Aramco or similar oil & gas project standards is an advantage.
Solid understanding of project planning principles, critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and resource leveling techniques.
