The Legal Advisor supports senior legal leadership in managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, and protecting the organization through sound legal practices. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory alignment, supporting corporate governance, and managing legal proceedings.Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters to internal stakeholders
- Monitor and follow up on external litigation including labour disputes, police cases, and court proceedings
- Coordinate legal affairs with government entities, regulatory bodies, and commercial organizations
- Review contracts, agreements, bank guarantees, insurance policies, and bidder qualifications
- Process licensing applications and manage interactions with licensing authorities
- Monitor official gazettes and prepare reports on new or amended laws affecting the company
- Support internal departments on legal matters including pension fund coordination
- Oversee translation and legalization of company legal documents
- Maintain and archive legal records and ensure proper documentation practices
- Develop and manage an internal legal reference system for efficient case handling
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 6 years of legal advisory experience within large organizations preferably in oil and gas sector
- Strong knowledge of UAE corporate, commercial, and labour laws
- Experience in contract review, compliance management, and litigation support
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters with attention to detail
