Role descriptionWe are seeking a talented and hands-on Application Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the Application team with the development and testing of food and beverage (F&B) formulations. You will be responsible for assisting in experimental trials, analyzing results, and contributing to ongoing efforts to drive product innovation and improve quality.With a background in flavour applications, the ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Application Technologists to ensure the effective implementation of new recipes, ingredients, technologies suitable to our markets.Your Mission
  • Assist in the formulation and testing of new and existing F&B products.
  • Support in the preparation of tasting sessions.
  • Prepare customer samples including labelling, packaging and coordination of shipping.
  • Ensure all applications adhere to quality and safety standards set by the company and relevant authorities.
  • Oversee inventory management and raw material orders.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and collect data for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean and organised workspace with weekly deep cleaning of workstation.
  • Operate and maintain of the available equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Sales and PMO to align product development with business goals.
Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in technology and applications.Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Food Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an application technician, application assistant or any other relevant title within the flavour or F&B industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ingredients, F&B recipe formulation and processing.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry regulatory standards.
  • Good sensory evaluation skills.
  • Good communication skills in English, any other language is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting experiments.
  • Experience in an application laboratory or within a research environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player with a hands-on mentality.
  • Well-versed in O365 applications especially Excel and web-based research.
