- Develop electrical engineering design plans, scope of work, deliverables, and schedules.
- Ensure electrical design outputs align with project technical, financial, and scheduling objectives.
- Track and monitor progress of electrical design activities to maintain timely completion.
- Oversee coordination between electrical design and other disciplines (civil, mechanical, I&C) for seamless integration.
- Manage engineering interfaces with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to prevent bottlenecks.
- Lead and mentor electrical design teams, including internal staff and external consultants/contractors.
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and performance feedback to support team development.
- Identify and mitigate engineering risks related to cost, timeline, and quality.
- Ensure designs comply with international standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Implement design reviews, safety checks, and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for electrical design discussions with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to management, highlighting milestones and challenges.
- Evaluate and manage changes to electrical design scope, assessing technical, cost, and schedule impacts.
- Identify opportunities to optimize electrical designs for cost savings without compromising safety or performance.
- Prepare technical specifications and support vendor evaluation processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment meet design requirements and schedules.
- Support construction teams in resolving electrical design-related issues during execution.
- Assist in commissioning activities, ensuring all electrical systems are tested, validated, and compliant prior to client handover.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in electrical design for EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior designer role.
- Strong expertise in electrical system design within oil & gas, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Proven leadership and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
