Job ID: 5930Job title: SAP AMS Ariba SpecialistLocation: Abu DhabiContract: 1 YearClient: Government EntityExperience: 5-10 yearsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESWe are seeking a skilled SAP Ariba Upstream specialist with strong experience in sourcing and contract management with expertise in Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and integration with SAP S/4HANA. The role focuses on supporting the rollout of CLIENT template and providing full application support. As part of this work, the candidate is expected to identify regular business pain points and recurring issues, to propose best practice resolutions, and to implement the approved solutions.Responsibilities include:
  • Handle end-to-end rollout of SAP Ariba Upstream modules, including Strategic Sourcing and
Contract Management
  • Support on the integration between SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA using SAP Ariba Cloud
Integration Gateway
  • Configure and manage CIG integration scenarios, including Master data replication (suppliers,
materials, company codes) and Transactional flows (RFQs, contracts, purchase order)
  • Gather business and integration requirements and translate them into functional and technical
specifications
  • Configure sourcing events, contract workspaces, templates, and approval workflows
  • Conduct system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and support go-live
activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across Ariba, CIG, and S/4HANA landscapes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support on testing, training, and documentation. This
includes working with the technical team to ensure that the procurement and Ariba modules areproperly integrated with other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to procurement and Ariba modules. This
includes creating functional specification documents, configuration instructions and updatingbusiness process document and Ariba workbook.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to procurement and Ariba modules.
This includes attending training sessions and conferences, as well as participating in professionaldevelopment opportunities.Experience
  • Experience in SAP Ariba upstream deployment projects and template rollout projects, including
knowledge of integration between Ariba , CIG and S/4 HANA systems (Master Data andtransactional data)
  • Solid practical knowledge of S2P business processes including but not limited to direct & indirect
procurement, external service procurement, subcontracting, material requirement planning andautomatic procurement, contracts and sourcing management
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement/ Ariba technical support and implementation
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in information science, engineering or other technical/
scientific disciplinesKEY SKILLS
  • 6+ years of experience in SAP Ariba implementations, with a focus on upstream modules
  • Strong hands-on experience in: Ariba Sourcing & Ariba Contracts
  • Expertise in SAP Ariba CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway):
  • Error handling and monitoring in CIG
  • Solid experience integrating Ariba with SAP S/4HANA, including Master data integration and
Document flow between systems
  • Understanding of S/4HANA data structures and procurement processes
  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and upstream procurement processes
