- Process customer purchases and payments accurately using the designated POS system.
- Ensure all transactions (cash, credit, and other payment methods) are recorded correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with inquiries.
- Maintain cash register balances and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Handle refunds, exchanges, and discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
- Follow cash handling and security procedures to prevent loss or errors.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report any operational issues or concerns to the Supervisor Cashier.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a cashier role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or food markets.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
