Job Purpose:The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining excellent customer service. The role ensures a smooth and secure cash-handling process, contributing to the overall success.Key Responsibilities:
Process customer purchases and payments accurately using the designated POS system.
Ensure all transactions (cash, credit, and other payment methods) are recorded correctly.
Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with inquiries.
Maintain cash register balances and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
Handle refunds, exchanges, and discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
Follow cash handling and security procedures to prevent loss or errors.
Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Report any operational issues or concerns to the Supervisor Cashier.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in a cashier role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or food markets.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
