Job Title: L2 Data Center & Compute Engineer (VMware)Location: Abu DhabiExperience: 4–8 YearsEmployment Type: Contract / Project-basedJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled L2 Data Center & Compute Engineer with strong hands-on experience in VMware environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting virtualization infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of data center systems.Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)

Perform VM provisioning, configuration, cloning, and decommissioning

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning

Handle patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of VMware environments

Troubleshoot and resolve L2 incidents related to compute, storage, and virtualization

Manage and support backup and disaster recovery solutions

Perform host and cluster management, including HA and DRS configurations

Work with storage and network teams for issue resolution

Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational reports

RequirementsRequired SkillsStrong hands-on experience with:

VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter

Virtual machine lifecycle management

Good understanding of:

Data center infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)

SAN/NAS storage concepts

Experience with backup tools (e.g., Veeam or similar)

Knowledge of high availability (HA), DRS, and clustering

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Certifications

VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

VMware Certified Advanced Professional (optional)
