Job DescriptionTo lead Sharia documentation services provided for products and transactions for DIB Departments to ensure compliance with Sharia guideline & principles. To support related Dar Al Sharia tasks or activities assigned by the Line Manager.Draft or review from Sharia and legal perspective transaction documents in order to ensure Sharia compliance in products and transactionsWork closely with the Chairman of the Internal Sharia Supervisory Committee (ISSC) in order to seek Sharia guidance and accordingly provide the same to relevant DIB Units to ensure Sharia compliance.Review and oversee effective documentation for Sharia products and transactions are maintained in place in accordance with business requirementsManage relationship with DIB departments and Dar Al Sharia Clients to ensure coordination and smooth service delivery.Support other Dar Al Sharia team members in completion of tasks and to ensure efficient service delivery.Supervise sub-ordinates to ensure that the optimum work flow is maintained in Sharia documentation deliverables.Coordinate with the Head of Dar Al Sharia in order to ensure the targets of the Sharia documentation and Dar Al Sharia are met;Mentor and coach Sharia documentation team members which will enable them to successfully render services to DIB and clients of Dar Al Sharia.All the above accountabilities includes but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager.Competencies/SkillsEducationMaster’s Degree in Law.Work ExperienceMinimum 8-10 years of experience in legal documentation with at least 4 years in Islamic banking and finance industry.
