Lead and oversee the highway engineering design team and review ongoing project work
Develop, check, and approve engineering drawings, reports, and technical specifications
Support the Design Manager with allocation of engineering tasks and workload planning
Contribute technical input to proposal development and bid support activities
Monitor daily progress of project deliverables and ensure adherence to schedules
Conduct detailed engineering and design reviews for highway and infrastructure schemes
Develop and review highway alignments, layouts, and key geometric design elements
Resolve complex geometric and design constraints with practical and cost-effective solutions
Coordinate closely with CAD and BIM teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables
Manage design resources effectively across multiple projects
Prepare technical reports, design justifications, and client submissionsCandidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering from a recognized university
Minimum 13 years of experience in major highway and infrastructure design projects
Strong design knowledge of UAE authority standards and relevant international codes
Proven ability to lead and manage highway design teams
High proficiency in highway design software including Civil 3D and Bentley InRoads or OpenRoads
Excellent communication, presentation, and technical report writing skills in English
Strong understanding of best engineering practices and quality management in design deliveryDesired Profile
Experience in road safety engineering and BIM-enabled design environments
Previous experience leading multidisciplinary design engineers on large projects
