- Responsible for managing the procurement activities across the MEA region, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that align with our company's standards and strategic objectives
- Lead and support a team of procurement professionals in the MEA region in coordination with HQ.
- Primarily focus on project related (solutions) purchasing of systems, components, spare parts and services with a worldwide supplier base for worldwide customer projects.
- Implement strategies to control spending and enhance procurement coverage across various categories including services, logistics, Travels.
- Selection, evaluation and development of a competitive supplier base in terms of overall costs, quality and security of Supply.
- Development and implementation of purchasing strategies in coordination with the HQ.
- Optimization of purchasing costs and transit times.
- Creation and negotiation of supplier contracts (work and service contracts) in coordination with the HQ and corporate guidelines.
- Contract, supplier and risk Management as well as purchasing reports.
- Support Supply chain Excellence team's projects implementation in the MEA Region.
- Align MEA subsidiaries procurement processes and procedures with corporate procedures and policies
- Train staff (not only Procurement) on the Corporate Procurement guidelines
- Conduct spend analysis to gain visibility and identify savings opportunities.
- Negotiate or renegotiate contracts to consolidate purchasing volumes in the region MEA and manage costs effectively.
- Develop and manage the procurement team, defining roles and responsibilities, and ensuring effective training and workload balance.(implement virtual organization).
- Support and empower the team, overseeing all MEA procurement activities.
- Act as Regional Purchasing Lead (Regional buyer), increase local market expertise to ensure available local sources when necessary.
- Develop supplier content and integrate new technologies to support HQ Material groups' strategies.
- Implement Supplier Management Platform (SMP) as per Corporate guidelines for registration, contract management, and performance measurement.
- Automate order processes and manage inventory through strategic agreements and technologies.
- Report savings in SAP line with corporate guidelines.
- Business Administration or Engineering degree.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Interface to all contract relevant intercompany functions e.g. / CAM / CPM / Legal.
- Strong communication skills and solution-oriented behavior.
- Good knowledge of and interest in products/services/sales activities and local suppliers for automation components.
- Excellent team player with good soft skills for use in cross functional and international teams.
- English fluent (and any other language welcome).
- Strong and lengthy experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of legal concepts.
- Profound commercial understanding.
- Experience in Claim Management.
- Good project management experience and skills.
