Our client, a leading investment manager, is seeking a visionary Head of Private Markets to establish and lead their new alternatives platform. This is a rare opportunity to build a private markets function from the ground up, shaping strategy, product offering, and execution within one of the region's most ambitious and fast-growing asset management houses.The RoleDefine and execute the private markets investment strategy across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real assets.Build and lead a high-performing private markets team, setting the culture, processes, and best practices from inception.Source, evaluate, and manage investments, with a focus on both direct deals and fund commitments.Establish partnerships with leading global and regional GPs, co-investors, and institutional clients.Oversee investment due diligence, structuring, execution, and ongoing portfolio management.Represent the private markets platform to boards, stakeholders, and clients, positioning the firm as a credible player in the alternatives space.Candidate Profile12+ years of experience in private markets investing (private equity, private credit, infrastructure, or alternatives), ideally with both deal and fund selection experience.Proven track record of sourcing and executing high-quality transactions.Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor a new team.Deep network across GPs, LPs, and advisors in global and regional private markets.Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement a scalable platform.Advanced degree (MBA, CFA or equivalent) preferred.
