Delivering direct support and additional bandwidth to existing team and to develop and administer own business development plans and processes to generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies.   • You will execute business development plans and processes to achieve targeted customer growth and retention rate, revenue targets and budgets.
  • You will support Sector Development liaising with local IP stakeholders to drive Sector growth and alignment.
  • You will deliver projects and initiatives to develop new business and maximize exposure for DHL amongst targeted prospects.
  • You will undertake market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential and analyze target groups.
  • You will prospect new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc.
  • You will initiate contact with targeted prospects, identify decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges and priorities (Early Engagement).
  • You will develop leads, conduct pre-proposal visitations, prepare difficult proposals and conduct negotiations to close.
  • You will maintain and build relationships with prospects and potential key accounts including prospects’ highest buying levels and coordinate the activities of prospect-focused teams.
  • You will initiate new business relationships with non-buying accounts that have been targeted by the company.
  • You will ensure alignment between local, regional, and global management to coordinate customer requests and services that are being promoted.
  • You will ensure capturing of customer data to build visibility for account, opportunity developments, timelines, actions and ensure compliance to IP process, scheduling of TRB1/TRB2 as part of process.
  • You will coordinate sales efforts with inside sales and provide flow of data on account competitors and suppliers to product management.
  • You will identify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly without the benefit of defined procedures.
  • You will convince external parties to accept complete proposals and programs, typically others have an interest exists to accept new concepts, practices, and approach.
  • You may provide functional guidance, advice, or training to less experienced business development positions.
  • You will connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.
  • You may convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • You will build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with clients and DHL managers alike.
  • You will understand customer and key stakeholder’s interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • You will provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.
  • You will be an individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees.
  • You may direct the work of other professionals or manage processes and programs.
  • You will coach and review the work of lower-level professionals and provide support as needed.

  • 4 years’ experience or more in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
