- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and product/service specifications to inform procurement strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products, prices, and services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to obtain the best value for the organization.
- Maintain a database of approved vendors and suppliers, and monitor their performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions and procurement plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate specifications and delivery requirements are communicated to vendors.
- Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to organize and optimize storage space for incoming goods.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, theft, or damage to goods.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and facilitate the timely clearance of imported goods.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to expedite customs clearance processes.
