We're a team of dedicated individuals driving this mission by providing better, faster, and more affordable access to food through technology.Role OverviewWe are looking for a talented and driven Pastry Jr. Sous Chef who will support the Head Pastry Chef in overseeing daily pastry production within our Dubai operations. This role ensures operational efficiency, product consistency, food safety compliance, and team leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Main ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementSupport in leading, mentoring, and training junior pastry chefs and bakery team membersFoster a positive, performance-driven, and collaborative work cultureOversee daily pastry section operations to ensure timely productionEnsure full compliance with UAE food safety and hygiene regulationsQuality Control & ConsistencyMaintain the highest standards in taste, texture, and presentationEnsure recipe adherence and product consistency across all batchesConduct regular quality checks and tasting sessionsIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiency without compromising qualityInventory & Cost ManagementMonitor stock levels and manage inventory effectivelyMinimize waste and maintain strong food cost controlCoordinate with procurement for high-quality ingredient sourcingSupport budgeting and cost alignment with operational targetsOperations & PlanningCoordinate closely with production and dispatch teams for timely deliveryAssist in seasonal menu launches and new product developmentDevelop daily production schedules and allocate tasks accordinglyEnsure smooth communication between kitchen sectionsQualifications5-8 years of pastry experience in high-end, large-scale, or fine-dining operationsPrevious supervisory experience requiredExperience in high-volume production kitchens is highly preferredCulinary or pastry certification is a plusKnowledge & CompetenciesStrong technical knowledge of pastry techniques and modern dessert trendsCreativity in flavor development and presentationThorough understanding of UAE food safety standardsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced production environmentPersonality & AttributesStrong leadership presenceExcellent communicatorHighly organized and detail-orientedPassionate about mentoring and developing talentCommitted to quality and operational excellence
