In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation that support our construction and engineering projects. You will work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure all drawings meet design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.   • Develop and prepare detailed technical drawings, including design, shop, and as-built drawings for various project components
  • Create comprehensive reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS) for structural elements
  • Prepare cross-sections, profiles, and detailed specification sheets with accuracy and clarity
  • Develop 2D and 3D construction staging sequences and temporary works drawings (scaffolding, formwork, falsework, etc.)
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local UAE/GCC building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
  • Conduct internal quality checks and maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and organization
  • Manage drawing submissions, transmittals, revision logs, and document control processes
  • Respond to consultant and authority comments promptly; revise and update drawings as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, site supervisors, and other departments
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input on constructability and design feasibility
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all documentation is properly archived and accessible
  • Stay current with industry standards, software updates, and emerging drafting technologies
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in structural drafting and technical drawing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bridge works, building construction, or heavy civil projects
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in temporary works design and documentation
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with document control systems such as Aconex, ProjectWise, or equivalent platforms
  • Comprehensive understanding of AASHTO, British Standards (BS), Eurocode, and local UAE/GCC building codes and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated expertise in constructability analysis and safety compliance documentation
  • Excellent technical drawing and visualization skills with strong spatial reasoning
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments
  • Proficiency in time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
  • Familiarity with local UAE construction standards and regulatory requirements is highly desirable
