- Develop and deliver clinical teaching in Internal Medicine in alignment with the university standards of Teaching, Research, and Service.
- Supervise, mentor, and assess medical students during inpatient, outpatient, and specialty rotations in Internal Medicine.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support clinical competence and professionalism.
- Conduct clinical or educational research and publish outcomes in reputable journals or conferences.
- Support curriculum integration between Internal Medicine and other basic and clinical sciences.
- Participate in OSCEs, workplace-based assessments, and accreditation and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain professional, supportive relationships with students conducive to effective learning.
- Perform additional academic or clinical duties as assigned by the department.
- Basic medical degree (MBBS/MD).
- Postgraduate qualification or terminal clinical degree in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Board certification and eligibility for professional licensure in the UAE.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in clinical teaching and medical education.
- Experience with integrated curricula and student-centered learning approaches (e.g., PBL/TBL) is desirable.
- Proficiency in English and effective use of educational technologies and learning management systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing.
- Dedication to continued professional development and scholarship.
- Engaging in scholarly work that is of very high quality as evidenced by external peer review.
- Exhibit strong pedagogic skills and to remain proficient and current in their disciplines.
- Ability to develop and lead high-quality research.
- Ability to develop and lead community service efforts of AU.
- Ability to provide academic advising for students.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple diverse communities.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
