  • Create, modify, update, and maintain an accurate MCAD/ECAD parts library.
  • Create and maintain libraries of 3D models used in downstream MCAD/ECAD (SolidWorks & Catia) mechanical and harness designs.
  • Access manufacturers' websites to obtain data sheets and neutral file formats (step, iges etc.).
  • Process component registration requests, validate information, assign an Adasi part number, and link manufacturers' part information.
  • Configure and control all Parts and CAD data in the Aras PLM system.
  • Adhere to relevant design & modelling practices.
  • Work closely with Engineers & Designers.
Education & Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Mechanical CAD modelling.
  • Working knowledge of CAD packages, Catia or SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, specifically Aras Innovator, will be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Configuration Management
  • Thorough understanding of assembling parts in assemblies in CA
  • Understanding of 3D harness design
