We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer with a strong background in construction and civil engineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement process for construction projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role requires a deep understanding of construction practices, civil engineering specifications, and strong negotiation skills.Responsibilities: * Strategic Procurement:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand construction and civil engineering specifications, ensuring procurement plans meet technical and quality standards.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
  • Contract Negotiation:
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and manage procurement budgets, monitoring expenses against approved budgets.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes to proactively manage procurement risks.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured materials and services meet required standards and specifications.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes within the procurement function.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 8 years and above as a Procurement Engineer in the construction industry, with a focus on civil engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience with international procurement and global supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly procurement practices.
