The Manager Data Engineering is responsible for shaping and executing the data engineering strategy, building robust data warehouses and pipelines, and delivering reliable analytics and Power BI solutions that transform complex datasets into actionable business insights for stakeholders at all levels.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data engineering initiatives for business intelligence, analytics, and reporting, improving performance and scalability of existing use cases
  • Translate business requirements into data models that convert raw data into meaningful insights
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse architecture, data lakes, and data lineage systems
  • Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using SQL and big data technologies to ingest data from diverse sources
  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation, optimized data delivery, and scalable infrastructure redesign
  • Own end-to-end ETL processes, including data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, validation, and monitoring
  • Ensure continuous data quality through validation checks, logging, auditing, and error handling mechanisms
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Power BI dashboards and real-time data pipelines
  • Build SSIS packages with reprocess logic to enable historical data reloads when required
  • Automate financial and operations reporting using T-SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexing strategies
  • Perform advanced data quality analysis across staging, data warehouse, and data mart layers
  • Develop C# scripts within SSIS to automate data engineering tasks
  • Deliver ad-hoc BI analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring regular communication and alignment on insights, progress, and outcomes
Ideal Profile
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in data engineering
  • At least 6 years in business intelligence, data engineering, or related roles within an international environment
  • Retail industry experience is preferred
  • Strong expertise in SQL, T-SQL, data warehousing, ETL design, and SSIS
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale BI solutions and Power BI dashboards
  • Analytical, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to lead complex initiatives and collaborate across functions
