Clarksons Trainee Broker Programme offers you the opportunity to:
- learn about our business by working alongside experienced industry leading professionals
- gain experience, insight and exposure rotating across key shipbroking departmentsi
- help form the foundations of your experience within shipping
- be part of a global cohort, with peer-to-peer support
During the programme, some of what you may be doing includes the opportunity to:
- support the day-to-day activities of the Brokers on the different desks
- maintain databases and prepare market information and reports for clients
- help to manage internal data flow of key market information
- maintain a database of sales activity
- undertake administrative tasks such as dealing with emails, assisting with contracts and correspondence
- help to field queries and establish/maintain effective relationships internally and externally
- maintain accurate records and documentation and assist with producing internal and external reporting
- help to conduct post fixture support in a prompt and efficient manner
- continue to develop knowledge and expertise
- attend meetings and events where required
- additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
- an initial 12-month fixed term contract with a possible further one-year extension
- rotational seat placements across different divisions
- accelerated development of technical, organisational and professional knowledge/skills
- full support system through manager, buddy, and programme manager
- cohort connection to other programme participants globally
- interaction with global colleagues
- assignments and business initiatives
