Description:The Ramadi Lab for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine develops innovative approaches for the modulation of neural activity throughout the body. We combine mechanical, electrical, materials, and bio-engineering toolkits towards designing minimally invasive technologies for neuromodulation. Our projects are translational in nature and are focused on addressing a specific need in clinical care. Our goal is to develop novel diagnostics and therapies for neurologic, metabolic, and immune disorders using technologies such as implantable microdevices, nanoparticles, and electroceuticals.The Postdoctoral associate will be able to design and develop ingestible devices to interrogate contents of the gastrointestinal tract. Relatively have a wide breadth of responsibility including conducting research, managing project logistics, and writing grant proposals and manuscripts. Large degree of autonomy which will grow with seniority. Will be self-motivated and capable of problem-solving readily and independently. Good familiarity with a variety of laboratory equipment and techniques.Responsibilities:
Design and conduct experiments.
Write grant proposals and manuscripts.
Manage project logistics (e.g. purchasing equipment and consumables).
The candidate will also work on individualized research projects under the supervision of the faculty during the duration of his/her tenure.This position is supervised by Dr. Khalil RamadiQualifications:Required Education:
PhD in Engineering or Science
Preferred Work and Related Experience:1 year postdoctoral working experience in engineering/biomedical disciplinesRequired Competencies:
