- Deliver comprehensive critical care management for pediatric cardiac patients, including:
- Pre‑operative stabilization and optimization
- Post‑operative care following congenital heart surgery
- Management of interventional cardiology cases
- Treatment of heart failure, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, and complex congenital heart disease
- Use of ECMO, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Lead daily multidisciplinary PCICU rounds and coordinate individualized care plans.
- Interpret and manage complex diagnostic data including echocardiography, hemodynamic studies, and advanced imaging.
- Provide on‑call coverage for pediatric cardiac emergencies.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU service.
- Develop and update clinical protocols, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and specialized nursing teams.
- Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and critical care nursing staff.
- Communicate complex clinical information clearly and compassionately to families.
- Support families through decision‑making, long‑term care planning, and post‑discharge follow‑up.
- Promote a family‑centered, culturally sensitive care environment.
- Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement projects.
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to CME programs and represent the department at conferences.
- Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology, or Pediatric Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
- Minimum 8–10 years of post‑specialization experience, including consultant‑level practice in a high‑volume pediatric cardiac center.
- Expertise in managing complex congenital heart disease, ECMO, and post‑operative cardiac ICU care.
- Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH/HAAD) Consultant licensure.
- Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
