- Working collaboratively with Global Business Development leaders and other members of the Leadership Team, develop and implement regional customer segment strategies aligned to global and plans consistent with our Purpose-Driven strategy.
- Develop strategic customer plans and relationships to position “Company” as a leader in the industry.
- Develop and grow business development capabilities across the region including People, Processes and Technology. Leverage existing tools/capabilities, such as Account Planning, Value-Based Selling, etc. to build a strong business development capability across the region. Develop and leverage tools as appropriate, such as CRM, PowerBI, etc.
- Work closely with other members of the Leadership and Global teams to communicate customer requirements to ensure a high level of customer service and our business goals, including playing active role in sales and operations planning within the region.
- Enable impact through strategically aligned regional partnerships around three transformational approaches of the company:
- Identify, build, and facilitate effective relationships with external partners across commercial, technological, non-governmental (NGOs), commercial, and government stakeholders.
- Seek additional sources of capital, in-kind contribution, and mutually beneficial agreements for projects of interest to augment impactful projects scale.
- Proactively engage potential partners with mutual areas of interest and maintain relationships to track interest areas of opportunities over time.
- Forge opportunities for pilot projects, joint development agreements, and commercial contracts that help the business unit meet their impact and business KPIs.
- Anticipate challenges, obstacles, and communication gaps to ensure your regional and global colleagues are supportive and understanding of the work at hand.
- Seek regional and global stakeholder input to consider strategic implications before finalizing decisions and partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ experience in business development, partnership management, or related role, preferably in the food industry.
