Commercial Manager - Construction Contracts

• Lead all commercial and contractual activities across major infrastructure and building projects
• Provide guidance to commercial teams and support their development to achieve performance targets

• Prepare and manage tender documentation including pricing schedules and contract conditions
• Review and evaluate contractor bids and support contract award decisions

• Oversee contract administration including issuance of notices, approvals, and documentation

• Handle variations, claims, disputes, and risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure timely processing of payments, invoices, and financial records through systems such as Oracle
• Maintain contracts register, bonds, and securities ensuring compliance with requirements
• Coordinate with project management and finance teams to align commercial objectives
• Conduct regular commercial meetings and reporting for senior management review

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management on large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial law, and risk management
• Experience in cost planning, estimating, and financial control
• Familiarity with procurement laws and tendering processes in the region
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex commercial activities simultaneously
