Our client is seeking a HSR Rolling Stock Expert to be responsible for managing and delivering high speed rolling stock (250 km/hr and above) project, and management of the PMC/the Engineer and Suppliers deliverabls during all phases of the project's life cycle.This position requires expertise in delivery of high-speed electric multi unit (EMU) passenger rolling stock projects, including design management, quality management, supervision of testing & commissioning, integration, management of hand over, and good knowledge in asset management for high speed rolling stock.Accountability Areas:- Develop the client's Functional Specifications for High Speed Rolling Stock and ensure that these meet the functional and performance criteria agreed upon with the corresponding business units,- Participate in the tendering process by playing an active role in reviewing technical documentation and contributing in the technical evaluation of bidders, in order to recommend the best suited bidder to be awarded the Contract, in accordance with the client's scope of work,- Review, comment and approve technical submissions related to rolling stock (Specifications, Drawings, Reports, test plans, etc.,),- Ensures that execution and delivery by the PMC/the Engineer and contractors alike is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, standards, codes and specifications and in accordance to the plans, set budget, timelines and scope of works,- Identify and define constraints/risks related to design, manufacturing, testing and delivery at early stage, establish and manage the mitigations,- Participate in External Stakeholders Coordination and provide technical support where needed- Provide factory / site visit and inspection reports to Department Management and share the works status, comments end recommendations with other disciplinary Managers as required,- Remain abreast with the latest trends and practices in high speed rolling stock by performing on-going research on emerging technologies, and trends.Job Requirements- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or a related field.- A minimum of 5 years experience in delivery of High Speed Rolling Stock projects, including supervision of design, manufacturing, integration, testing & commissioning, and handover.- A minimum of 2 years experience in onboard ERTMS Level 2 Signalling System ( or equivalent) design review, testing and integration.- Knowledge of necessary depot equipment for maintenance of EMU will be desirable- Good knowledge and experience in application of EN and UIC Standards relevant to rolling stock design, manufacturing, testing and systems assurance.- Experience in track infrastructure maintenance equipment/plant design review is desirable.
