- Design and synthesize calix[n]arene-based covalent organic frameworks for water purification applications
- Develop organic macrocycle-containing linkers and porous framework materials
- Investigate supramolecular interactions between porous materials and organic water pollutants
- Apply advanced characterization techniques including powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, electron microscopy, and porosity analysis
- Utilize laboratory techniques such as Schlenk line and glove box synthesis
- Analyze experimental data and validate material performance for water treatment applications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams including faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and students
- Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science
- Strong experimental and synthetic skills related to covalent organic frameworks
- Experience with porous materials design and characterization techniques
- Solid understanding of analytical tools used for materials characterization
- Experience applying porous materials to water treatment is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within collaborative research teams
