This position oversees the execution of roads and infrastructure works, including wet and dry utilities, ensuring alignment with approved designs and contract requirements. The Resident Engineer safeguards project quality, timelines, and financial interests while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and authorities.Key Responsibilities
- Lead supervision and coordination of roads, infrastructure, and utilities construction works
- Ensure all activities comply with contract documents, drawings, and technical specifications
- Manage contract administration including variations, claims, and extensions of time
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to approved schedules and milestones
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with authority regulations and applicable engineering standards
- Review and approve technical submissions, reports, and site documentation
- Maintain control over quality assurance and ensure work meets required standards
- Prepare detailed reports and contractual correspondence for project stakeholders
- Protect project financial and contractual interests through effective management
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects
- At least 5 years in a Resident Engineer or senior supervision role
- Strong experience in UAE infrastructure projects and authority coordination
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, preferably Red Book
- Proven ability in contract administration, variation assessment, and claims management
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent reporting and communication skills in English and Arabic
