This role leads the end-to-end transformation of core medical systems including claims, policy administration, and provider management. It ensures alignment between business strategy, clinical workflows, and digital platforms while enabling efficiency, compliance, and improved customer experience.Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, design, and execution of medical system transformation programs
- Define phased transformation roadmaps including migration and system decommissioning
- Oversee modernization of claims adjudication, policy configuration, and provider management systems
- Drive transition to API-driven, scalable, and configurable core platforms
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, operations, actuarial, and compliance teams
- Manage vendors, system integrators, and solution providers ensuring delivery quality
- Establish governance frameworks and manage risks across multiple workstreams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data privacy requirements
- Support system migration, data conversion, and parallel run strategies
- Drive change management, training, and adoption initiatives across business units
- Track value realization including efficiency, cost, and performance improvements
- Enable future capabilities including analytics, automation, and AI-driven operations
- 12+ years of experience in health insurance, healthcare technology, or payer operations
- Proven experience leading large-scale system transformation programs
- Strong understanding of medical claims, benefits, pricing, and provider networks
- Experience modernizing legacy systems to cloud or SaaS-based platforms
