Job PurposeGraduate Development Program (GDP)The GDP is designed to enable the best, fresh graduates with a top bachelor's degree to gain knowledge, understanding and experience of nuclear and nuclear support functions, vital for the safe operation of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.The program is normally for 18-36 months, depending on the function and its requirements. GDP candidates are employees and follow a structured development program, targeted to a specific position, delivered largely in the workplace.Graduates will acquire a solid foundation of core, technical and nuclear skills and knowledge of processes, and standards.GDP places are very limited. Opportunities can be in engineering as well as in disciplines where there is a shortage of UAE National candidates.Most of the openings for the GDP are based at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, so candidates must expect to be located in Barakah permanently from the beginning of the program.Job PurposeGraduate Plant Operator (GPO)The GPO is designed to enable the best, fresh graduates with a top bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, or a related discipline, to gain the knowledge, understanding and experience for an exciting career in nuclear operations and management, so ensuring the safe operation of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).The program starts with the practical training of Graduate Plant Operators in the plant as Local Operators. This enables them to understand how an operating nuclear power plant works. Three years after joining ENEC they will be fast-tracked to start their training as a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO). SROs execute and provide assistance in leading the operation, maintenance and testing of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). This is a critical role to achieve a high level of plant safety and reliability, in accordance with all operating procedures & policies, regulatory requirements, and nuclear, industrial, and environmental protection standards.Admission Criteria
  • Must be a UAE National.
  • Age: no older than 26 years.
  • English Proficiency: minimum IELTS Academic band 6.0.
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised UAE or international university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Have no commitment to another Graduate program and not already working in an entry-level position in another organization.
  • Completed National Military Service (no exemptions permitted).
