The Consultant Hematologist Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive hematology care, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and long-term management of patients with complex blood disorders.Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage hematologic conditions including anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, and clotting disorders
- Perform and oversee bone marrow biopsies, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy treatments
- Collaborate with oncology, pathology, and radiology teams for integrated patient care
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services
- Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
- Contribute to academic teaching and continuous medical education programs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
- Medical degree with specialization in Hematology
- Board certification from a recognized authority such as American Board or Royal College
- Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience
- Eligibility for DOH licensing or UAE healthcare authority
- Strong expertise in both benign and malignant hematologic conditions
- Excellent diagnostic and procedural skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
