- Deliver specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit
- Diagnose neonatal conditions and interpret laboratory tests, imaging results, and clinical data to develop effective treatment plans
- Monitor newborns continuously and respond promptly to changes in medical condition
- Manage neonatal emergencies and provide advanced neonatal life support when required
- Collaborate with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated neonatal care
- Educate parents on newborn care, feeding techniques, and early childhood development
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare documentation standards
- Implement evidence-based neonatal care protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Train and mentor junior physicians, residents, and neonatal nursing staff within the NICU
- Stay updated with medical advancements and innovations in neonatal intensive care medicine
- Medical degree such as MD or MBBS from a recognized medical institution
- Board certification in Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatology, or equivalent specialist qualification
- Minimum five years of consultant-level experience within a neonatal intensive care unit
- Western medical education or specialist training preferred
- Strong expertise in neonatal resuscitation, ventilatory support, and neonatal critical care management
- Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in multicultural healthcare environments
- Fluency in English with Arabic language skills considered advantageous
