  • Diagnose neonatal conditions and interpret laboratory tests, imaging results, and clinical data to develop effective treatment plans
  • Monitor newborns continuously and respond promptly to changes in medical condition
  • Manage neonatal emergencies and provide advanced neonatal life support when required
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated neonatal care
  • Educate parents on newborn care, feeding techniques, and early childhood development
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare documentation standards
  • Implement evidence-based neonatal care protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Train and mentor junior physicians, residents, and neonatal nursing staff within the NICU
  • Stay updated with medical advancements and innovations in neonatal intensive care medicine
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree such as MD or MBBS from a recognized medical institution
  • Board certification in Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatology, or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Minimum five years of consultant-level experience within a neonatal intensive care unit
  • Western medical education or specialist training preferred
  • Strong expertise in neonatal resuscitation, ventilatory support, and neonatal critical care management
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in multicultural healthcare environments
  • Fluency in English with Arabic language skills considered advantageous
