Join WSP, and you’ll be at the heart of a team of international experts all dedicated to growing and sharing their expertise, and working on projects that transform society for all of us.A strong background within the Lift and Escalator Industry and has previous experience within Vertical Transportation Consultancy roles.Background in Lift and Escalator Design with demonstrable experience in Lift Traffic Simulation.The candidate shall possess at least 10 years’ relevant experience.The successful applicant shall be fully conversant with the EN81 suite of codes, a working knowledge of ASME series of codes and a detailed understanding of Local (ME) Building Codes.The role will involve the development of VT design concepts, calculate the number, size speed of lifts for all types of buildings. Responsibilities will include preparation of design stage reports, drawings and specifications for VT projects with attendance at client and design team meetings as required. Your new role, what's involved?

Advanced knowledge and experience in utilizing lift traffic design software (Elevate), CAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Office suite of programs.
To produce efficient VT solutions for the client.
Responsible to produce technical reports to illustrate the design to the client and his representatives.
Responsible for attending and coordination meetings with the project design team, VT supplier, and specialist subcontractors to ensure that the intended design is appropriately implemented.
Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments and stakeholders to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
Coordination with other Discipline Engineers (Architectural, Structural, Telecoms, IT, Mechanical and Electrical) as applicable.
Participation in design review/clarification meetings and workshops and client presentations.
Liaise with VT suppliers to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works required by client.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Degree in relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Extensive experience with designing vertical transportation systems for a wide range of building typologies and sectors.
Knowledge of all applicable VT Codes Standards and Building Codes
Ability to manage multiple reviews and deadlines simultaneously.
Responsive to changing demands.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills.
Extensive knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.
Strong organizational skills ability to plan and schedule work.
