A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.For UAE Nationals only for Emiratization program.Position Summary:The Head of Software and Application Development will lead and oversee all aspects of software and application development within the organization. This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for the department, ensuring the successful design, development, and deployment of software applications that meet business needs, drive innovation, and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a track record of managing large, complex software projects across diverse teams.Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • It is preferable that the candidate has previously worked in the federal government.
  • Proven experience in managing and scaling software development teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale software products or applications.
  • Experience with both traditional waterfall and modern agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
  • Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, etc.).
