- Prepare accurate and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) specifically for mechanical engineering scopes, using industry-standard measurement practices.
- Conduct detailed mechanical services cost analysis, from inception to project completion, ensuring budgetary control and financial viability.
- Evaluate and negotiate mechanical subcontractor bids and variations, ensuring value for money and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage and track mechanical services costs throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Review and approve mechanical contractor payment applications, verifying work completed against agreed-upon terms.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with mechanical engineering works, proactively identifying potential cost overruns.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering, providing a strong academic foundation.
- Demonstrates at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, specializing in mechanical engineering projects.
- Exhibits in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Proficient in using relevant quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.
