- Deliver specialist paediatric ophthalmology and neuro‑ophthalmology care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Manage a wide range of paediatric eye conditions and neuro‑ophthalmic disorders, including complex visual and neurological presentations.
- Perform paediatric ophthalmic procedures and surgeries, including strabismus, in line with scope of practice.
- Work closely with neurology, neurosurgery, paediatrics, orthoptics, neuroradiology, and other multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care.
- Interpret clinical findings alongside relevant investigations, including visual fields, OCT, and neuro‑imaging.
- Participate in theatre sessions, examination under anaesthesia, procedural lists, and emergency ophthalmic care as required.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families and maintain high‑quality clinical documentation.
- Contribute to service development, teaching, audit, governance, research, and continuous professional development.
- Medical degree with completed specialist training in Ophthalmology and a recognised fellowship qualification (CCT/CCST, American Board, FRCOphth, or equivalent).
- Advanced subspecialty training and proven experience in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Neuro‑Ophthalmology.
- Eligibility for DOH / HAAD Consultant licensure in Abu Dhabi.
- Strong experience managing paediatric and neuro‑ophthalmic conditions, including optic nerve and ocular motility disorders.
- Paediatric ophthalmic surgical experience, including strabismus, is desirable.
- Background in tertiary or high‑volume specialist eye services preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgement, communication skills, and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
