
Transport Engineer

- Conduct traffic and transport studies, including data collection, modeling, and analysis.
- Design roadways, intersections, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and public transport facilities.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with local and international standards.
- Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and government agencies on integrated transport solutions.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Use transport modeling software (e.g., SIDRA, VISSIM, AIMSUN) to simulate and optimize traffic flow.
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability assessments for transport projects.
- Engage with stakeholders and participate in public consultations when required.
- Recommendations: Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
- Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
- Audit: Work within established audit control systems to deliver specified outcomes or provide general support.
- Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
- Business Requirements Identification: Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
- Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
- Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals.
- Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
- Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
- Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in transport engineering or traffic planning.
- Proficiency in transport modeling and CAD software.
- Knowledge of local transport regulations and design standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working with government clients or urban development authorities is a plus.
