The Department of International Studies at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Associate to work with Dr. Yuting Wang on the Chinese migration into the Arab Gulf region. The anticipated appointment is expected to start on June 1, 2024 and end on May 30, 2025.The ideal candidate will play an integral role in supporting the research efforts and data analysis and management. Specifically, the individual will conduct both quantitative and qualitative research on Chinese expatriate communities under the direction of Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Yuting Wang.Qualifications and Skills RequiredThe applicant needs to have obtained a PhD in sociology or related fields with research experience. The successful applicant will have advanced command of and programming proficiency in major statistical software, excellent writing and communication skills and be knowledgeable of migration studies.This position is based in Sharjah, UAE, and the selected candidate must be willing to relocate.
