JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for day-to-day activities regarding purchase
Procuring necessary stores & machinery spare parts for the vessels as requested by Master/Chief Engineer in co-ordination with the respective Superintendent
Ensuring the supplies being made to the vessel upon their arrival in co-ordination with the supplier and the vessel
Vendor development to get better prices, better quality and to get better credit terms from the suppliers
Responsible for arranging services like Crane hire, Boat hire, etc. for the vessels as and when required
Follow up with the accounts department to make sure the payments for suppliers are made in accordance with the credit terms mutually agreed
Responsible for the clearing of all ship spares for the vessels arriving at both airport & seaport
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ship management company
