Job SummaryThe Hydraulic Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting hydraulic systems used in chassis manufacturing processes and applications for commercial trucks. This includes equipment such as hydraulic presses, fixtures, lifting systems, and vehicle-integrated hydraulic functions. The role ensures reliable, efficient, and safe hydraulic system performance aligned with production and engineering requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop hydraulic systems for chassis manufacturing equipment and applicationsCreate hydraulic schematics, circuit diagrams, and system layoutsSelect components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, and actuatorsPerform calculations for pressure, flow, load, and system performanceSupport installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems on the shop floorCollaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and design teams for system integrationImprove existing hydraulic systems for efficiency, reliability, and cost reductionEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirementsWork with vendors and suppliers for component sourcing and developmentPrepare technical documentation, manuals, and reportsRequired Skills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of hydraulic systems and fluid power principlesExperience with manufacturing equipment and industrial hydraulicsProficiency in CAD tools and hydraulic design softwareStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of safety standards and industrial regulationsGood communication and teamwork skillsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3–8 years of experience in hydraulic design, preferably in manufacturing or automotiveExperience with chassis manufacturing processes is an advantage
